The Arch of Arcadius Theodosius and Honorius,
in the centre of the picture has been erected by the Senate after the victory
of Flavius Stilicho in Pollentia (today Pollenza) over Alaric in 405 AD.
This marble arch honoured three victorious emperors over the Goths.
