When visitors arrived to Babylon, they must have been fascinated by the majestic
approach of the walls of the Palace. This huge surrounding wall showed a tight guard
made of square towers surmounted by heavy crenellated platforms.
The eastern part of the citadel was broader on the side of the royal Palace. This bulge was called “museum”.
